Rosedale – Affordable Housing

Sherger Construction partnered with FAAS Architecture in the spring of 2017 to respond to an RFP issued by the City of Calgary to design and build 16 affordable housing units. This unique project was awarded to Sherger Construction in summer 2017.

This fixed price design-build project has specific challenges related to building on remnant lot widths ranging from 6.22 m (20.4 ft) to 10.48 m (34.4 ft). We have successfully completed the community engagement and are currently moving through the DP stage.

Technical Details

Over 11,000 sq ft of residential living space LEED For Homes qualified project 16 affordable housing units built on 8 properties. Fully bonded design-build project. Estimated completion date, summer 2019.
